About Us

Having believed in providing a practical solution to the woes of deprived and marginalised masses, the emergence of Nav Nirman Foundation (NNF) finds its basis in such times when there has been an increasing pauperisation of the common man due to declining agricultural productivity and industrial deceleration on the one hand and the relative lack of sound state social welfare effort (in terms of policy and action) on the other.

Amidst the severe lack of civil society initiatives (vis-à-vis states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan etc.), NNF started working formally only after 25th March, 2008 on getting registered under the Societies Act (Registration No. 1776).

The agenda of NNF is spanned over six major initiatives :

  1. Initiative for Youth Development (IYD)
  2. Initiative for Women Empowerment and Skill Development (IWEST)
  3. Initiative for Promoting Health and Rehabilitation of the Disabled (IPHRD)
  4. Initiative for Childhood Protection and Promotion (ICPP)
  5. Initiative for Elderly Care and Protection (IECP)
  6. Initiative Against Environmental Degradation (IED)
